The questions you may be wondering about — answered clearly
We understand that costs are an important part of planning your eye care and eyewear. While it can sometimes feel awkward to ask about pricing, having clear information upfront helps everyone feel more comfortable and confident.
We believe transparency matters, so we’ve answered the most common pricing questions our patients ask. No surprises – just clear, straightforward information to help you make informed decisions about your eye care.

How much is an eye examination?
Our comprehensive 45-minute eye examination is carried out by a senior optometrist and is priced at £85 for private patients.
Many NHS patients choose to upgrade to this enhanced examination for £60, which includes the same advanced scans and imaging used in our private appointments.
Every examination is delivered in a calm, welcoming setting by our experienced team, with care tailored to you.
We use state-of-the-art technology, including Digital Widefield Retinal Imaging and Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), to provide detailed insight into your eye health.
The result is a thorough, comfortable and reassuring examination — giving you confidence in both your vision today and your long-term eye health.

How much is an NHS sight test?
NHS sight tests in England are funded by the National Health Service and are provided at no charge for eligible patients, including those aged over 60 and people with a family history of glaucoma.
Many patients choose to upgrade to our enhanced eye examination for an additional £60. This allows more time and includes the same advanced diagnostic scans used in our private examinations, providing a more detailed assessment of both eye health and vision.
An enhanced examination is particularly valuable for patients with a family history of eye disease, such as glaucoma or macular degeneration, and for those as they get older, when eye health changes become more common.

How much are spectacle lenses?
We work with premium lens manufacturers, including Essilor, because the quality of your lenses has a direct impact on how well you see and how comfortable your glasses feel. Choosing lenses is a clinical decision, and we don’t compromise on quality or performance.
The cost of spectacle lenses varies depending on the type of lens you need and how you use your glasses. For example, varifocal lenses are more complex than single vision lenses, and options such as thinner, lighter lenses or photochromic lenses that change in the sun will affect the final investment.
As with our frames, lenses are carefully selected rather than chosen from a fixed menu. Our optometrists and dispensers will guide you through the options and explain what will genuinely benefit your vision, your prescription and your frame choice.
As a guide, single vision lenses typically start from around £150, while varifocal lenses start from just under £300, with many patients choosing more advanced lens designs for improved comfort, clarity and everyday performance.

How much are spectacle frames?
We curate our eyewear collections with care, selecting frames from leading independent eyewear houses that combine craftsmanship, comfort and distinctive design. Every collection is chosen to offer variety in style and fit, while maintaining a consistently high standard of quality.
Rather than overwhelming you with endless options, our team will guide you towards frames that suit your face shape, colouring, personality and lifestyle. Many of our collections are also available in bespoke sizes, colours and shapes, allowing for a more considered and individual choice.
Our frames typically range from £300 to £600, where you’ll find beautifully made, hand-finished designs that feel genuinely special to wear. We also carry a smaller entry-level collection, with frames starting from around £149, offering well-designed, quality options without compromising on comfort or style.
Some frames sit above this range, using distinctive materials such as wood or carbon fibre. Every frame we supply comes with a 12-month manufacturer’s warranty against manufacturing defects, regardless of price point.
For convenience, we also offer the option to spread the cost over up to 10 months, helping you choose eyewear you’ll enjoy wearing every day.
