We’ve put together a helpful guide that covers everything you need to know about looking after your glasses properly.

It is worth taking a moment to learn the proper care techniques. Most spectacle lenses are made from lightweight plastic materials, which are safe and comfortable to wear but are more susceptible to scratching than you might expect.

Knowing how to clean them safely makes such a difference. It’s easy to cause tiny scratches without realising if you use the wrong cleaning method. They might not seem significant at first, but over time they can affect the clarity of your vision.

With the right technique and materials, keeping your lenses pristine is perfectly straightforward.

Our guide walks you through the do’s and don’ts, so you can be confident you’re caring for your investment properly.

We may recommend having thinner lenses because of your prescription or the style of the frame.

We always explain why we are making our recommendations and try to give as many options as possible.

If you don’t want separate sunglasses, we suggest photochromic lenses which darken on UV exposure. We recommend Transitions, which are currently the quickest photochromic lenses to change colour.

Our Transitions lenses come with a Love ’em or Leave ’em warranty.

Try them for a couple of weeks and if you don’t like them, we will remake them as clear lenses at no additional cost.
