Felix Corson, Jacksons sponsored sailor and Year 10 pupil at Rydal Penrhos School, Colwyn Bay, recently took his place in the field at the WASZP UK National Championships. These were held at Rutland Sailing Club over a three-day period. The Middle School pupil was joined in the field by his sailing coach Max Todd, who is a seasoned international competitor and Head Instructor of Rydal Penrhos’ thriving sailing provision. Despite this being Felix’s first time competing in an all-adult foiling event, he showed his class to achieve a creditable 19th placed finish overall, which is even more impressive as an outhaul problem forced him to retire from the third and fourth races of the competition.

Felix commented
“It was a really good regatta with fun on and off the water “it was a shame about my outhaul but it was a quick fix and then back racing.”

We look forward to more sailing thrills and spills as the summer progresses!
